  • When is the best time to go to Vietnam?
Vietnam is a country more than 1,000 miles long and therefore the weather varies from North to South. As we only run a few trips a year, we’ve made it easy for you by choosing some of the best months to travel for you which are March, September and November. The North gets a little colder from December to February, whereas the South stays pretty hot all year round.
  • Do I need a visa to travel Vietnam?
For many travellers Vietnam is a very easy country to visit with a simple ‘Visa on Arrival’ process for nationalities such as the UK and most of Europe. The ‘Visa on Arrival’ allows you 15 days when entering Vietnam. If you need longer or if your country does not qualify for the ‘Visa on Arrival’ then you can apply for a one month visa here https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/trang-chu-ttdt or at your local Vietnamese consulate.
  • What vaccinations do I need?
There are no specific vaccinations that you need to travel Vietnam however your doctor may recommend having some as a precaution. That's why we advise just paying a visit to your local GP if you’re unsure. They will know what jabs you’ve previously had and which you need to update. All destinations and areas we travel are low risk but best to be on the safe side.
  • Is travel insurance compulsory?
We require all customers to show proof of cover at the beginning of the tour. We’ll need to see your name, area of cover and dates that the insurance is valid.
  • I’ve booked… what happens next?
After booking you’ll receive an Order Confirmation via email… You’re going to Vietnam as this means your spot on the trip has been confirmed. The only things you still need to worry about are booking your flights, getting travel insurance, making sure you’ve got a visa if you need one and packing your bags. The next time you’ll hear from us will be 1 month before the trip via email with some reminders of things to prepare for. Then 2 weeks before we’ll be in touch again with some important information such as where to meet us when you arrive at the airport and there’ll be a link to a group chat to start chatting to your new travel buddies.
  • When should I book my flights?
Once you’ve booked your trip and your spot has been confirmed then there’s nothing stopping you. Use the FAQ’s below to help you plan your flights to and from the correct airports.
  • When should I arrive on Day 1?
We suggest aiming to arrive as early as possible on the 1st day, this isn’t essential but we’ll head out for dinner and drinks in the evening. If you get in during the morning/early afternoon you’ll have time to relax, have a shower and go for a wander.
  • Can I arrive early before the trip?
You sure can! We actually recommend it to those people doing longer journeys as you’ll no doubt be tired and appreciate that time to recharge before we get stuck into it. If you arrive a day early then you can join us on the ‘Secret Handicraft Villages’ day trip. If you're looking for something a little different and want to see the real Vietnam then this is for you.
  • Which airport should I fly to?
The trip starts in the Capital City in the North, Hanoi. You’ll be glad to know there is only 1 big international airport in Hanoi and it’s called ‘Noi Bai International Airport’.
  • Which airport do I fly out of on the 13 Day trip?
The 13 Day trip finishes in Hoi An... from there you can fly to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) from Da Nang for your flight home. It’s only a 45 minute taxi ride from Hoi An to Da Nang airport which we will help you arrange once you're here. Da Nang is also an international airport so you can also check flights from there too.
  • Which airport do I fly out of on the 17 Day trip?
The 17 Day trip finishes in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)... therefore you can fly straight out from there… it’s just a 20-minute taxi ride to the airport and we’ll help you arrange that once you get here.
  • What time can I leave on the last day?
The last day of the trip is what we call check out day. You can leave anytime you like on Day 13 or 17 but it’s always nice to not leave too early so you can say your goodbye’s to your new best friends.
  • Can you help me book my flights?
We can’t book the flights for you but as always we’re here to help with the planning. If you’re unsure what flights to book or simply just want us to take a look over them before you click ‘book now’, then send them our way and we’ll make sure they’re all good.
